Meet the Board
Malcolm Ball, Life President
Malcolm was Chairman of the ASBCI for 10 years until 2013
 
Malcolm Ball Associates are technical, colour and quality consultants for textile and clothing creation, production, processing and marketing.

Diane Waterhouse, Vice Chairman
Diane represents Burberry on the ASBCI's main board. Burberry is an iconic British brand manufacturing clothing, fragrance, and fashion accessories.
Alistair Knox Alistair Knox, Chairman
Alistair is Senior Research Fellow at the School of Art & Design, Nottingham Trent University.
 
He became Chairman in 2013 after several years as Treasurer / Finance Director

Jackie Lewis is Head of Technology at Shop Direct Group, the United Kingdom's leading online retailer, and its largest home shopping company.

Jonty Wilson, Membership Director
Jonty is UK soft lines manager at SGS United Kingdom, part of the world's largest independent Testing, Inspection & Certification Company with offices in 140 countries worldwide.

Chris Thierry, Student Membership Director
Chris is managing director of UK Retail Connect, which offers support to companies seeking introductions to UK retailers or manufactures, or those who want to learn more about UK retail operations or wish to gain access to the UK market.

Stephanie Ingham, Company Secretary
Steph is the heart and soul of the ASBCI, running the office in Halifax and overseeing all of ASBCI's activities.

Paul M. Smith, Ball Director
Paul is Head of Clothing Technology at Morrisons.

Julie King, Events Director
Julie heads the Fashion and Textiles department at De Montfort University.
